Jackie Wright
Creator of the Doris Ward Workforce Development Employment and Training Program in 2012, serves as Program Director. Wright has over 20 years-experience in public affairs and media relations as an award-winning journalist and non-profit leader. Having worked as Executive Director of the American Red Cross Bay Area Chapter, San Francisco Office with duties including the National Red Cross’ Rapid Response Communications Team and Executive Director for the San Francisco Unified School District to establish the Office of Public Engagement and Communications serving over 7,000 district staff members and 57,000 students and their families with 40 documented languages; Wright’s expertise includes leadership development and training, fund development, non-profit budgeting, and program development. As a writer, speaker, and award-winning filmmaker, Wright has consulted nationally and internationally for the good of communities.

Kelly Armstrong
As the founder of Artist Development/Imagemaking since 1988, Armstrongenjoys helping people “be their best, by looking and feeling their best in body. mind, and spirit.” She gives advice about overall personal appearance, skin care, makeup, and grooming. Since 2001, Armstrong has taught Personal Styling among other fashion courses at City College of San Francisco. For many years her Personal Styling students partnered with Goodwill Industries in San Francisco, dressing their first-time offenders’ clients in the “Back on Track Program, “created by then San Francisco District Attorney and now United States Vice President, Kamala Harris. Armstrong is also the founder of “Primed & Prepped,” a Hospitality Management/Culinary Arts Mentoring and Job Training Program at the Bayview Hunter’s Point YMCA. The program introduces young men and women of color to a multitude of career opportunities, trainings, and professional resources that lead to meaningful employment in the Hospitality Management/Culinary Arts industry.
Karen Johnson
A Human Resource Training and Development Executive, partners with the leaders on strategic and organization decisions; including leading the engagement, and employee development initiatives at the bank. Johnson has over 15 years’ experience in the Financial Industry, working in Operations, Business Development, and Senior Management providing strategic advice and direction, supporting key business initiatives. Johnson is a Certified Diversity and Inclusion Coach that helps leaders identify behaviors that promote inclusive climates in the workplace. Johnson has led various youth group programs in the bay area, educating young adults how to budget and manage finances as well as create resumes, Linkedin profiles, and mock interviews for employment. Johnson has the passion to coach, educate, and build lasting relationships that bring value to each individual’s professional and personal achievement.
Lisa Bishop
A leadership consultant, facilitator, trainer & Exec coach, plus CODC (certified organizational development coach), has delivered and implemented a number of coaching programs that help organizations by: Expanding opportunities for diversity and inclusion; Decreasing employee turnover; Increasing employees awareness of, and responsibility for, their impact; Identifying the obstacles to people leading, and how to overcome them; Increasing people’s ability to influence; Examining the concepts of potential, purpose, and passion and how those influences impact employee engagement and leadership; and Inspiring, encouraging, and motivating individuals and teams to lead in their personal and professional lives.
Madelyn Mackie, CCMC
A professional resume writer, certified career coach, trianer, and motivational speaker. She is a Certified Career Management Coach, Nationally Certified Online Profile Expert, a member of the National Resume Writers Association, member of the National Speakers Association and has presented in front of corporate, government, non-profit and community audiences. Mackie draws on her vast experience of navigating 4 high profile careers – as a published bio-chemistry researcher, a stage and production manager for 4 Tony Award winning theatres, an officer with the American Red Cross, and the Chief Career Activator for Madelyn Mackie & Associates – to help individuals activate their career dreams.
